A Guidance Officer visits the school on a part time basis. The Guidance Officer assesses children who are experiencing educational difficulties and / or problems of emotional or behavioural adjustment. Other support includes counselling, intervention and referral to external agencies. The Guidance Officer arranges appointments with staff and parents as necessary.
Referrals to the Guidance Service are made directly by the administration team or by teachers through the Special Needs Committee.
